The purpose of this Electronic Instructor's Guide is to provide the instructors using my materials with information to assist them in effectively teaching. While most of the content is mine, I hope to be able to include ideas and suggestions from others who use my workbook. Future MicroStaion V8 Workbook Lesson files to be included on this page will be zipped using PKzip (from PKWare) which should be downloaded into a convenient /temp directory. The file(s) should then be unzipped using WinZip 6.0 or other appropriate software. The zipped files normally contain a PDF file which should be opened using Adobe Acrobat. This PDF formatted file may then be read on the screen or printed to a laser printer to produce a hard copy document. Some zipped files may also contain MicroStation design files which demonstrate model solutions for the instructor to analyze.   MicroStation V8 Workbook Simply click on the icon to download the material of your choice Table of Contents (Updated: 03/20/02) [File size =54Kb] This zipped file contains the Table of Contents of my Workbook in PDF format. To view this file you must have Acrobat Reader loaded. Acrobat Reader is available free from the site referenced in the Product Links below. Student Exercise Disk (Updated: 03/20/02) [File size =479Kb] This zipped Student Exercise Disk file contains student demonstration files needed to complete various MicroStation /J Workbook exercises; 2D MicroStation seed files to create student files having the setups for architecture and mechanical exercises; and mechanical and architectural cell libraries. These files should be loaded into each student's directory. In addition, the zipped file contains a text file of instructions. Projects (Updated: 03/20/02) [File size =426Kb] This zipped Disk file contains unscaled plotable files for the various student projects in the Appendeices. Caution students not to take measurements directly from these drawings as they are incorrect being unscaled.

	WinZip - All of the files on my home page are compressed using PKZip. A very handy utility for manipulating these 'Zip' files is a product called WinZip. Here is a link to the WinZip home page which contains the software as well as directions for purchasing and downloading the utility.
